When asked this question, it's common for service providers to answer, "Customers." But when we interact with people, we have an opinion on how we cannot serve them. Children don't behave the way we want them to. Customers don't show us the respect we deserve. These families are not the kind of people we like.
Our answers contradict ourselves. Yes, we want to say that we serve others, but in reality, we want them to serve and please us.
When we can't shift our serving posture from self-centered to customer-centered, why are we surprised to learn that we are the ones who drive people away?
