The common misunderstanding about generosity is associated with money. Generosity often means someone gives money or a product or service away for free. When something doesn't cost us, that's generosity in many people's minds.
But that's only sometimes true.
Cheap doesn't mean good. Free doesn't mean it costs nothing.
When we couldn't figure out a problem, someone saw it and turned on a light; that's generosity. When someone uses their expertise to serve people above and beyond, that's generosity. When you come across a book that opens the door to allow others to build their works upon, that's generosity.
Instead of believing generosity means free, it represents value and excellence.
