easy to follow

It’s about the leadership lessons from the dancing guy.

In the public school system, enrollment challenges have been a hurdle for students and families in getting into the school they hope for. Because of the assignment policy, we aren’t eligible for optional schools. When things at our neighborhood school didn’t quite work out, the options in front of us became scarce: either we pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to send our children to private schools, or we have to settle for what’s available.

Being on the two waitlists for optional schools and subsequently declined for enrollment inspired us to imagine what’s possible. Instead of settling for what’s available (convenience) and the unaffordable solutions, we have looked far and wide.

We want to find a leader that’s great at what they do but, more importantly, easy to follow.

When we learned about Summit Public Schools, we found that not only are Summit’s ideas in studying and learning proven to work, but more importantly, they are open to anyone who applies. Instead of following the unhelpful assignment policy, they have a policy accepting students citywide.

Leading isn’t about holding authority and regulations over people but solving their problems and bringing hope for the future!
