There are two parts to every appreciation:
First, it's an observation of what happened. We observe someone who did something that has impacted our lives or others.
Secondly, an emotional experience changes our minds and transforms us from point A to point B. The change helps us meet our needs, brings positive experiences, and fills our empathy cup towards ourselves and others around us. Because of this experience, we feel appreciative and grateful.
Feeling appreciation and gratitude is one thing. Expressing it is another. Thanksgiving holiday is an excellent opportunity to let someone know what they did has changed your mind and contributed to your life experiences.
And I, for one, want to express my gratitude to you, my dear reader. Because of you, I feel seen and understood, courageous in writing when I had doubts about myself, and making the change I never imagined I could. You have accompanied me on this journey, and I am grateful for walking alongside you.
Thank you!
