a layer of feedback

Feedback is needed for everyone to improve. We assume.

Sure. There are layers of how it works.

It's always our choice to want feedback or not. It depends on where we are on our journey.

When we clearly know about our challenges and what it takes for us to get better, a space and an opportunity to practice and be seen might be all that's needed.

When we want to improve by getting feedback from the others, making a request with specifications on what kind of feedback that we want might be helpful to guide the others to do so.

Having clarity about our decision on feedback can be helpful when interacting with the others.
