a means to an end

I have learned a few things from Acumen. One of them is to see a means and an end.

For a long time, the goal of the business world has been making a profit. But Acumen has shown us a different end. They have shown us that businesses are the tools to allow a different goal to happen—an end that solves poverty problems and helps people live with dignity.

When we claim to serve underserved groups and communities, it is crucial to discern what is an end from what is a means.

Meeting students' studying and learning needs is an end.

Improving students' studying and learning outcomes is an end.

Teaching students to live a fulfilled life is an end.

Managing the budget to operate schools, opening schools, and examining issues in the current schools and school system can all be a means to an end.

Define an end first.
